On December 16, 2014, the District Administrative Court ruled in favour of the group of claimants including PrJSC NATURAL RESOURCES and LLC EASTERN GEOLOGICAL UNION from GEO ALLIANCE Group in their lawsuit against the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Thus, the Court overturned items 1-4 of the Government Resolution # 647 On Procedures for Natural Gas Procurement by Industrial, Power and Heat Generating (as it Pertains to Industrial Gas Volumes) Enterprises issued on 26/11/2014. In fact, with this ruling the court cancelled the companies’ obligation to purchase gas exclusively from NJSC NAFTOGAZ OF UKRAINE.

As known, there will still be an appeal against the ruling. The claimants have stated that they believe in a fair outcome.
