On October 31, Elijah Orthodox chapel was blessed and solemnly opened in Zhabky. The chapel was built at the expense of PrJSC NATURAL RESOURCES and LLC EASTERN GEOLOGICAL UNION from GEO ALLIANCE GROUP. It was installed and fitted out with the support from officials of Lokhvytsia town council and Zhabky village headman’s office and with the direct participation of villagers.

Many years ago, as far back as in Soviet time, a local church was closed, and the Orthodox community had to go to a nearby village Yakhnyky to attend religious services in a local church. Meeting the needs of Zhabky residents to have a place of worship directly in the village, GEO ALLIANCE Group financed construction of the chapel, which was named after the Saint Prophet Elijah.
